Peter Gatume had undergone dialysis for an entire year and soon considered kidney transplant - a move that changed his life for the better
Peter Gatume was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2020 when COVID-19 struck. He had difficulty in breathing, and also got hypertensive - a condition that went on to affect his kidneys
Unaware of this, he was diagnosed and started on dialysis as he considered transplant
Peter deliberately chose to have his kidney transplant here in Kenya despite receiving so many recommendations to have it done overseas, a decision he is very proud of since he had his successful kidney transplant and he's in good health
He commends Dr. Hussein Bagha for always being there for him and offering him the best care during the kidney transplant process. He further notes that Dr. Bagha is always there to address any of his concerns even post-transplant and he is indeed grateful for that.
